Refund policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

If you want us to ship you a different item, you will be charged a $10 shipping fee
There are no exchanges/Returns for Discounted-Closeout items.

MicroDOT Helmet Co. – Return & Policy Information
All items are eligible for return within thirty (30) days of the original purchase date, provided that they remain unused, in their original packaging, and with all labels intact. All returned merchandise will be subject to inspection prior to the issuance of any refund. Items sold as closeouts are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances. All returns must be shipped prepaid. MicroDOT Helmet Co. will assume responsibility for return shipping costs only in the event that the Company has shipped an incorrect item.
Pursuant to NHTSA regulations, any MicroLID helmets submitted for return or exchange must have its original reflective tape fully intact. MicroLID Helmets with removed, damaged, or altered reflective tape are not eligible for return or exchange.
Where an order was shipped without charge to the purchaser, any approved refund will be reduced by the amount of the original and/or replacement shipping costs. International duties, taxes, and brokerage fees are non-refundable.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to research and understand all applicable helmet laws within the purchaser’s state, country, or jurisdiction prior to completing a transaction. MicroDOT Helmet Co. disclaims any responsibility for ensuring that helmets purchased are legal for use in the purchaser’s jurisdiction.
This policy statement may not encompass all obligations of the purchaser. Additional responsibilities may apply depending on the circumstances of purchase. Failure to remit payment of any invoice in accordance with the Company’s stated terms will result in the imposition of attorney’s fees and collection costs, which may be assessed up to thirty-three percent (33%) of the outstanding balance.
RECEIVING YOUR SHIPMENT:
All items are appropriately packaged to protect your shipment.
NOTE: If your Helmet has any damaged parts due to shipping, you must note any damage upon delivery; otherwise, you are accepting the unit in good condition, and you are accepting "Full Responsibility" for any shipping damage. If you note the damage on the delivery receipt, the buyer will receive new replacement items "free of charge" to replace any damaged parts due to shipping. Failure to note the damage on the delivery receipt may void the ability to file a freight claim for you and provide free items from any shipping damage.
All items returned within 15 days of receiving must be in 100% new, re-sellable condition to qualify for a refund. Merchandise is not eligible for a refund if worn, used, abused, or damaged. Items must also arrive complete (including warranty cards, promotional items, size stickers, and the legal DOT certified interior label intact.) and with the original packaging.
ORDER CANCELLATIONS:
Must be made within 24 hours after your order is placed. Please call us at 817-478-0497 or email us at info@skootdog.com to cancel your order.
Once your order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled without the return charges that we incur. If you choose to cancel your order once it has been shipped, you will be charged for all shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee. Please allow 2 to 3 business days for your account to be successfully refunded. An email confirmation will notify you once the refund has been issued.
MicroDOT Helmet Co. works hard to ship your order correctly. If there is any discrepancy in your order, you must notify our customer service department at 817-478-0497 within 48 hours of receiving the item. Any returned items damaged or used (factory defects not included) will not be accepted, and freight charges will be charged to the customer. No returns or exchanges will be accepted for closeout items.

I, as a buyer, understand that these activities can result in serious injury to the person and damages to property and voluntarily assume any risks associated with loss, damage, or injury while wearing items advertised on our website. I, as a buyer, am aware of the risks, hazards, and dangers of personal injury, death, and disability inherent with the specific use of Helmets, and the inherent dangers, hazards, and dangers of personal injury and disability increase with inexperienced riders. I, as a buyer, fully understand that I am responsible for selecting the correct size and proper type of Helmet; when purchasing a unit(s) for an adult or a child. I, as a buyer, agree to release and forever discharge MICRODOT HELMETS or related companies and their agents, servants, employees, officers, directors, trustees, and all other persons or entities acting on their behalf and the manufacturer from any claims, actions, damages, liabilities, cost or expenses and attorney fees which are related to, arise out of or are in any way connected to your participation or use of these helmets, use of items supplied by MicroDOT Helmet Co. or its parent company or your presence upon the premises, whether or not such claims, actions, damages, liability, cost or expenses are caused by the negligence of the seller, manufacture or distributor. By this Agreement, it is my intention as the buyer to surrender and waive any rights to sue or exercise any legal rights to seek damages from MicroDOT Helmet Co. or its parent company and their agents, servants, employees, officers, directors, trustees, and all other persons or entities acting on their behalf.
This Agreement shall affect and bind upon my heirs, agents, personal representatives, and assigns. As a buyer, I certify that I am over the age of 18 years of age as a buyer. I, as a buyer, have carefully read the preceding and acknowledge that I understand and agree to all the above Terms and Conditions. I have had the opportunity to ask any questions regarding this Agreement and its effect. I, as a buyer, am aware that by purchasing this item and sending/remitting payment for it/them, I assume all risk and waive and release certain substantial rights that I may have or possess. I, as a buyer, therefore release all liability and waive all rights I may have in regards to my child's, or myself, activities with any items purchased from MicroDOT Helmet Co.
Important Limitations on your rights
I, as a buyer, have carefully read the Terms and Conditions agreement and the warranty policy and acknowledge that I understand and agree to all the Terms and Conditions and Warranty Policy. I have had the opportunity to ask any questions regarding this Agreement and Warranty and how they relate to my purchase. I, as a buyer, am aware that by purchasing this item and sending/remitting payment for any item(s), I assume all risks and waive and release all legal rights that I may have or possess. I, as a buyer, therefore release all liability and waive all legal rights I may have in and with any items purchased from MICRODOT HELMETS. The terms agreement and warranty policy specified in this binding contract will solve any issues or problems. By purchasing a product from MICRODOT HELMETS, once the order has been shipped, you agree that you waive your right to any chargeback on your credit card or Pay Pal account under any circumstance (except non-receipt of order) and will handle any issues in accordance to our terms and conditions policy and warranty policy.
You (by purchasing from MICRODOT HELMETS) agree that Texas law (regardless of conflicts of law principles) shall govern this Agreement, that any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive venue of the federal and state courts in the State of Texas as MICRODOT HELMETS sole option, and that you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal and state courts in the State of Texas. The failure of MICRODOT HELMETS to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. The failure of MICRODOT HELMETS or You to exercise in any respect any right provided for herein shall not be deemed a waiver of any further rights hereunder. Upon your purchasing from MICRODOT HELMETS, this Agreement, accepted by You, contains the entire agreement between you and MICRODOT HELMETS. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven't received a refund yet, first recheck your bank account.
Then contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale - Discounted items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, email us at info@skootdog.com and send your item to 4705 County Road 610, Alvarado. Texas. 76009. Exchange policy does not apply to discounted items.
Gifts
If the item were marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'd receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and he will find out about your return.
